2nd Chances Project

Story

"If you were any older they wouldn't have worked so hard to bring you back to life".

Hi, my name is Charles Doyle, owner of 2nd Chances Project. I was 31 at the time the words above were said to me by a nurse during my recovery.  You see, I had just woke from a coma after sleepwalking into the deep end of an in-ground pool while on Ambien. Moments before that I was defibrillated 10 times and in cardiac arrest for a documented 27 minutes. I was on brain and body cooling. "Prognosis poor" is what was written in my chart.  My family was told to begin making plans for my funeral or to prepare for me to be in a vegetative state for the rest of my life.

I received a second chance at life. But those words haunted me. "If I were any older they wouldn't have worked so hard to bring me back to life?" After I returned back to work at Northwell Health I witnessed mostly all of the Baby Boomer aged employees being offered packages to leave. If they didn't accept they would suffer the consequences in the form of bullying.  Seeing these things I sought to use my ability as a Creative Director, Graphic Designer and micro and small business enthusiast to build a membership fee free platform and spotlight for baby boomers only. A place where all focus and attention goes to this special, significant group alone.
